Overview

As an audio engineer, I specialize in critical recording and production for soloists, bands, and ensembles working in a wide variety of genres. Although location and live recording for classical and acoustic music is my primary focus, I am experienced with many styles of music and production philosophies and am equipped to handle anything from minimalist stereo acoustic recordings to elaborate pop projects.

I offer a variety of services covering every stage of a project, from inital tracking and overdubbing to editing, mixing, and mastering. For the highest level of audio resolution and musicality, I use a selection of excellent microphones (by Neumann, DPA, Brauner, Schoeps, Gefell, Royer, Wunder, a.o.), microphone preamps (by API, John Hardy, Millennia, Chandler, Shadow Hills), processors, and acoustic, electric and virtual instruments. All recording is done through Apogee x-series AD converters directly to hard disk (Pro Tools HD). For mixing, a combination of digital and analog technologies are available, affording great transparency and fidelity whithout sacrificing the convenience and flexibility of computer-based editing and automation.

If you or your group are interested in producing your own recording, recording a concert or recital, or are in need of any other audio and recording services, please contact me for more information and rates.
